Getting Started: Registering and Enrolling in Your Course

To access your MathXL for School course, you must complete an easy, one-time registration process.

Before you start, you will need:

  • a student access code, given to you by your teacher or included in the MathXL for School Student Access Kit you received
(If you do not have a student access code, see How to Order MathXL for School for more information.)
  • a valid email address that you check on a regular basis

To register and enroll in your teacher's MathXL for School course:

  1. Go to www.MathXLforSchool.com and click the Register button.

  2. Enter your student access code in the fields provided. A sample access code looks like this:

    SMPLE-FRILL-TONLE-WEIRS-CHOIR-FLEES

  3. Click the option that says "I am taking a course that is using MathXL for School...".

TIP: If your teacher has not set up a course for you in MathXL for School, you can still study on your own by selecting the option that says "I am studying on my own, and need to choose a textbook." You can then choose your textbook from the Book list and click Enroll. You can use pre-loaded sample tests to generate a study plan and work through practice exercises to master the topics in your textbook.

  4. Enter your course ID and confirm that you are enrolling in the correct course.  (If you do not know your course ID, ask your teacher.)

After you have registered and enrolled, you are ready to log in to your teacher's MathXL for School course!

  1. Go to www.MathXLforSchool.com.

  2. Enter the login name and password you created during registration.

  3. Select your teacher's name and the name of your course from the Instructor/Course menu. (If you aren't sure what the title of your course is, ask your teacher.)
